At Karpo, we are passionate about using storytelling to connect brands with their audiences. Our project with Dinnertable, an online debate platform, is a clear example of how a well-crafted narrative can transform the user experience.
Storytelling as a Communication Strategy
Dinnertable was looking for a friendly and energizing image to facilitate meaningful conversations. We created a visual universe that included the brand identity, the chat room interface with animated backgrounds, and avatars that synchronize their movements with the users' voices. Additionally, we developed animated illustrations for their website and a 2D animated video that tells the story of the platform and attracts new users.
Division and the Mirror
We were inspired by diversity and dialogue. The central concept was to represent the participants as forest herbivores, symbolizing an inclusive and peaceful community. We used the metaphor of a mirror to show how opposites can meet and a vertical division that disappears when sitting at the table, highlighting the point of connection. A wise owl acts as an impartial referee and narrator in the video, while the division transforms into a post that holds the platform's logo, symbolizing the enduring and profound nature of the conversations.
Results
The video was a success among Dinnertable's target audience, attracting hundreds of new subscribers in the first few weeks.
